What Does A Sore Throat Mean In The Chakra System?
Sore throat? What does it really mean?
When you understand how your chakras show up in your mind, body and soul, you’ll unlock the key to all your health ailments, and perhaps discover the fix along the way.
Understanding these powerful seven energy centres, dating back in recorded history to 1200 BC can help you to navigate life by addressing sexuality, groundedness, intuition, using your voice, making decisions from the heart and more.
Sounds good, right?
The Chakras, said with a hard “ch” like the world “child”, run from the base of our spine to our crowns. From the base up, they are the Root Chakra, the Sacral Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra, the Heart Chakra, the Throat Chakra, the Third Eye Chakra, and the Crown Chakra.
For each Chakra, there are corresponding colours, elements, power statements, symbols, planets, crystals, emotions, essential oils, yoga poses and more! When you harness the associated colours, crystals, asana, oils, etc, you begin to tune into your chakras, clear blocks, heal your mind, body and soul, and start to move more freely in your life.
What about that sore throat?
The throat chakra is top of mind for us right now because one of our team has laryngitis. While it’d be easy - and logical - to dismiss it as just a virus or bacteria, it has been really interesting and helpful to watch her delve a little deeper.
And the outcome might just blow your mind!
This person has had issues with her throat and surrounding areas for as long as she can remember. From childhood and now as an adult she’s continuously suffered from tonsillitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, mouth ulcers, teeth grinding, cold sores on her lips, a clicking neck, swollen glands and gum issues.
One look at the Throat Chakra, and that’s nearly a complete list of all of the ailments associated with a suboptimal throat chakra. Yikes!
Here is where it gets really interesting…
The Throat Chakra is associated with speaking up and ones speaking truth. And yesterday, she had reiki specifically on her Throat Chakra to quicken the healing process, during which she had a little epiphany and without thinking, started repeating this mantra in her head: “I am safe to use my voice”.
Depending on how woo-woo or intrigued you are, the next part is fascinating. Her reiki practitioner had a very intense sensation that she was trapped and no matter how much she shouted she couldn’t be heard, and that if she spoke her truth, that she was in danger of being killed.
Tapping into a past life, perhaps?
We may never know the answer to that, but it definitely matches up to the emotional traps of the throat chakra and how they manifest in the physical.
Her fear of speaking up and being heard in this life is completely disproportionate to what could happen if she uses her voice. In the western world it is extremely unlikely for anyone to be killed for speaking out. Laughed at, ridiculed, broken-hearted, maybe even jobless… perhaps. But being killed? No way!
Realising this - that when she speaks up she is safe - was a major breakthrough for her, and set her on a pathway to creating a better life!
So is your sore throat really just a sore throat… or is there something you’re not saying because you’re irrationally fearful of the outcome? Just remember, as bad as the response to your speaking out could be, you won’t die.
